Wow! What an amazing day we had at Pukemokemoke. We started the day by climbing Pukemokemoke. A fantastic effort put in by Rm23 as it took about 1 and a half hours to climb, but the view from the top was amazing and Mrs Stent told us some great stories on the way up. Luckily it only took 20 minutes to get back down for lunch. We then had some activities in the afternoon and were lucky enough to see a wood pigeon (kereru). On our return to school, we cooled off in the pool before our picnic with family. An awesome turn out!!
Mrs Stent telling us a myth.
How big is this tree?
The view at the top was amazing!
There were lots of roots that we had to be careful walking over.
Robyn gave us some very interesting facts
All the native trees were beautiful at Pokemokemoke!

ReplyDeleteRoom 23 this looks so much fun! I know it was a hot day for you but you must have felt a great achievement getting to the top. It's great to see the photos thanks, it gives us a really great way to experience the day without actually having been there.

DeleteI loved the walk.it was an amazing time with native thingsconnor
ReplyDeleteThe walk was absolutely amazing with all the native plants and animals, seeing all the relationships and learning about the Maori people including listening to native stories of Aotearoa.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I did feel quite tired because it took 1 hour and a half just to climb a hill but the trip lasted from 9.00 to 4.00 anyway. It
makes people confused. Did we really spend 6 hours eating and playing? I don't think so.
